Monday 3/18/2013 – Sunday 3/24/2013

Monday I forgot to write in my journal so it was just a normal P-day from what I remember.

Tuesday we had District Meeting which was good. Elder Lovell gave a nice little lesson on bearing testimony. Today we tracted a lot, got gas, Nero fell through, saw a couple less-actives, had a great dinner with the Clawson's, Had more plans fall through and then tracted even more.

Wednesday was awesome! We taught Collis about the rest of the Restoration. He had a very big desire to learn more, which we don't think is good. He wants way too much at once and wants all the answers. We went to Mary', but just ended up setting up another appointment. We met a new Gator name Nathan who seems pretty promising. Taught him about the Book of Mormon and what it is. We picked up Keith and had dinner at Sister Walker's home. Chicken Alfredo! We had a lesson with Kenrick and he ended up just talking a ton and we barely said anything.

Thursday we had appointments so we had to split up our weekly planning. Went to see Artez and he gave us a fake address so we talked to a lady. Elder Lovell froze up during the door approach and had a bit of a meltdown. He doesn't talk very much so I am trying to give him some more opportunities to do so. We later went and taught a lesson to Tabatha about FHE's. That was a good lesson and next time we hope to have one with her so she can see how it is. Went to Jamie and Dave's place for a lesson, but ended up talking because they are going through a very rough time. So we talked and gave him a blessing that Brother Beyer offered. There were a bunch of non-members there and we got to share a bit about the gospel with them. Dave was also teaching them about the Book of Mormon. It was awesome!

Friday was Tucker's birthday! Happy Birthday Tucker! We went out to see less actives and met Jeff Poole who we hear about quite often, but had never met. He was at the Cantella residence and had just gotten there when we showed up. We asked for referrals and one of the little kids told us to go see Jordan who ended up being his friend. So we headed over looking for the barn mailbox that he told us about. Found it and was able to give a Book of Mormon to Jordan's dad. We also met Sister Simpson another less-active which was really good. Her husband isn't a member and we gave her a BOM because she didn't have one and she said to call her in the next couple weeks to set up a time to come by. Had some good food at the Herrington's and then taught the Tucker's and then made a lot of calls.

Saturday we walked 4 miles to Jamie's in the rain because we didn't have the car. He invited us to a BBQ and it was fun even though we didn't get to eat because the food wasn't ready. We got a ride to a BK right next to our house. So I grabbed a couple burgers at Burger King and ate them as we walked home from there. We picked up Keith and headed to Sister Malone's and taught about prophets. Keith shared his testimony which was so good!! He cried a bit. We ate at Stevi B's and Keith told us not to tell his mom he cried. They made a bet and if he cries while testifying then he owes his mom 5 bucks. So we ended up going there and sharing a message with them and told her and she was happy about it and had a good laugh.

Sunday we woke up at 5:45 today so we could go to PEC. I didn't fall asleep ‘til around 12. At like 11:30 I heard gun shots. Heard 3 and then a bunch of screaming and then 2 more and then some silence. Comforting! I bet you'd agree Mom. Then we had 4 gators bail on church. Lost Collis yesterday as a gator. but Dave made it to church! He enjoyed it very much as well. Brother Tensmeyer called on me in Elders Quorum and gave me 4 elements and told me to tell a story. I did pretty well to be honest and it was a pretty good story. The four elements were a sandwich, a baseball bat, aliens and Humphry Bogart. We also had dinner with the Gunn's and that was delicious! They are awesome!! We also saw Carly. Her boyfriend was called to a Utah mission, but I can't remember which one. We contacted a bit at Lake Ella and talked to a family that seemed willing but we didn't get a return appointment or any info. Good day though!

Monday 3/11/2013 – Sunday 3/17/2013

Monday was not the most normal P-Day in the world. We started off by not having our car so we walked to email. We also learned that the policy for email has been changed and that now we can email friends, family, ward leaders and recent converts. Then we shopped really really fast so that we could go to Genghis Grill to eat with President and Sister Jensen and all of the Visa waiters that got their Visa's. Then we said bye to Elder Stewart. He is going to be a great missionary! Then we went home and cleaned then contacted a referral named Nicole and set up an appointment. Elder Lovell and I had a good conversation also and I got to know him a lot better than I ever have. We also had dinner at the Hodge Berkeley home. Keith's mission call came also so we got to eat and he opened his call. He will be serving in Boise, Idaho! He is going to be awesome!

Tuesday we had Zone Training and after we got Elder Brewington. He is an FSU Elder and they split up all the campuses for spring break. So we got him for a few days. Today we went a lot of places to tract with not much success. Had dinner with the Jones family. It was delicious and we also had FHE with the Looney's, which is always fantastic!

Wednesday was awful! The bad that happened: We first talked to an Atheist and he told us that faith is just stupid and that Science proves religion wrong. We also got yelled at by a drunk guy who was using very vulgar language, so I did rebuke him because it was messed up and I felt the spirit telling me to or I wouldn't have. Also, the GPS glitched out at one point and took us to McDonalds so we ate there. We also had dinner at the Saul's home and that was pretty fun and good.

Thursday was much better. I didn't have to do any rebuking. We had weekly planning and, hopefully, we will end up having a good week. We got a bunch of referrals from Brother Tensmeyer. We taught JJ again and she told us that she was going to come to church, but I am not sure if she was there. Then we had dinner at the Tensmeyer's, which was delicious! They made pulled pork sandwiches. Then we tried to contact a referral and ended up tracting and met a lady named Connie.

Friday we taught Collis a great lesson today! He is awesome! We also went and saw Delaitre, a less active/potential Elder, and told him we would wake him up on Sunday for church and we got him there! He has lost a ton of weight for his mission. We also got 2 new gators at a gas station. The weird thing is that before we left the house I decided not to use the restroom. Then I really had to go so we stopped at that gas station and met them there. It was way cool! Elder Brewington's companion got back so Elder Lovell and I are back to 2 again. So we picked up Keith and ended up taking him tracting.

Saturday we started the day by planning for the fireside that we are trying have the ward put on. We then picked up Keith because we needed another male all day and every appointment we needed him for fell through. So we tracted a lot! Met a lot of nice people and gave away quite a few Book of Mormons. We also ate at the Beyer's on very short notice so that was cool! Participated in their daughter’s blessing. She wasn't feelin' very good.

Sunday, Good Sabbath! I helped pass the sacrament and we also taught the Elders Quorum lesson. Felt we did pretty good. We also talked more about the fireside with Brother Tensmeyer today. Looks like we should get this moving. We also got back in contact with Tabatha and she is doing well. Her baby was in the hospital with an infected finger. They had to amputate half of the very tip off, so he will be okay now. We also had dinner with the Shannon's and they invited the Tally 2 Spanish Elders: Farnsworth and Shwarts. After dinner, we helped the Tally 2 Spanish Elders help a guy move. We really didn't do too much moving though. We did a lot more waiting. Then we took them home and then headed home.

Monday, 3/4/13 – Sunday 3/10/13

Monday was a normal P-day with shopping that seemed to take forever! Basketball was really good! We had dinner with the Tompkins. My first real southern meal. We had Mullet, sweet potato fries, pickled okra and deviled eggs. Then prepped for the trade off with Tally 1.

Tuesday was our trade off and I got to go to the Tally 1 area with Elder Call. We ran a lot in the morning and I was way sore the next day. I can't really write all the things that happened, but we really had a lot of fun and laughed a lot! We saw a couple gators as well and a few less actives. Busy day, but it was fun. I hope that I will get to serve with Elder Call.

Wednesday we had dinner at Popeye's with Elder and Sister Mower. We also had a great lesson with Jamie and Dave, but the appointment went too long. We were going to go give his Mom a blessing, but that didn't happen. So I felt really bad that the appointment went long.

Thursday we had Zone Conference and it was GREAT!! I love listening to President and Sister Jensen! They are the best! We also listened to the Assistants and the Zone Leaders. I loved it all! We also got to teach Jasmina and her dad, James. It was so good. Then I burned my 6 month tie cause I guess that is the missionary thing to do. I also finished the Book of Mormon again. It's TRUE!

Friday was chaos, but great! Helped Sister Mendenhall move her stuff to her storage unit and she also donated some stuff to the mission, so we headed to the mission storage unit to drop some stuff there as well. We also helped Marsha with her path that she has been making. Then we did some weekly planning and then had FHE with the Looney's.

Saturday was a decent day of missionary work. A couple of things fell through, but we had a good lesson. We took Keith to Sister Malone's (less active) which went very well. She is thinking of coming back to church. Then we headed to Trey's for dinner and Dan was there as well with his wife. Really good spaghetti. Then went home so Elder Stewart could pack.

Sunday we lost an hour of sleep because of daylights saving and a second hour because we had to get up at 5:30 to go to Ward Council. Great meeting though! The new Bishopric is exciting! Great lessons at church as well! Then Elder Stewart packed some more and we also had a good dinner with the Hood's.

Monday 2/25/2013 – Sunday 3/3/2013

Monday was a typical P-day with basketball and what not. Basketball is always good! We also got to share the gospel while at Walmart with a really nice guy that was behind us in line. Then we all got our hair cut. It also rained a lot and appointments fell through.

Tuesday the only appointment that didn't fall through was with the Hood's. They are a less active family and it is fun to go to their place. We also had District Meeting, which I think went pretty well. It is still kind of weird being up there teaching. I got a lot of involvement from the rest of the District. That night I also scared the crap out of Elder Lovell.

Wednesday we first taught Lydia and her family. Also, taught Alan a small lesson and gave him the BOM on CD. I also got the website for his radio station. It is www.bigdcountry.com so check it out! We also saw the Saul's and gave Sister Saul's daughter a blessing. Then we went to Susie's and set up an appointment while she was leaving. Then we headed to the Kelly's for dinner and Sister Kelly had to go to a Relief Society activity that she was teaching at so she left while we ate with Brother Kelly. Then we went and visited with Brother Chester.

Thursday we weekly planned. Then we also had dinner with the Geiger's and it was sooo good! We also contacted a referral and then did language study for Elder Stewart.

Friday we taught a less active, Sister Witschy. She is a convert, but says that she never got a spiritual witness of the Book of Mormon's truthfulness, so we talked to her about how important that really is. Then we tracted a lot! Then we got Keith, but the appointment fell through so we went to the Lawson's because we felt inspired to get a referral from them. I love the Lawson's!

Saturday we tracted Sister Walker's street and talked to some really nice people then we visited with her and asked for referrals and she gave us a neighborhood to tract. We also taught a new investigator name Al about the Plan of Salvation. It was a really good lesson and I think he enjoyed it. Then we tracted some more and met some more really nice people.

Sunday was Fast Sunday and we got a new Bishopric in the ward. Bishop Matkin is going to be going to New York this summer so he was released. Brother Martin was called to the High Council. Bishop Longfellow is now the new Bishop. Brother Lahtinen was moved from 2nd to 1st counselor. Brother Jones was put in as 2nd counselor. It is going to be awesome because I think this is going to be a way missionary minded Bishopric. We also got 2 gators to church. We got Tabatha and we also got Lydia. We don't know why, but Lydia left halfway through sacrament meeting. We also had dinner with the Paget's and then tracted.
