Monday 2/18/2013 – Sunday 2/24/2013

Monday we found out that our companionship will be the same as it has been. So we get to keep doin' work! Other than that it was just a normal P-day. We cleaned and emailed and shopped and then ball'd it up!

Tuesday we had District Meeting and that was pretty good. I also gave Sister Rappleye a blessing after District Meeting and I actually felt pretty comfortable doing it for one of the first times. Then we had our District activity. We went to Pitaria to eat which is a Greek place and it was way good! Then we had a lesson with Tabatha and gave her a blessing as well as a lesson. I am getting a bit better at this whole faith thing. Then we headed to Nero's, the "Golden" investigator. We taught very choppy, but it was still a good lesson. We also taught JJ after that. She is a less active we have been working with. Then we ate dinner at Sister Walker's. She is such a great lady and the food was great! Then we had FHE with the Looney's. Good day! Actually it was great!!

Wednesday everything fell through. We did teach Lydia about the Plan of Salvation though. We also saw Sister Granger in a recovery hospital type place and read the Book of Mormon with her. Then went to the family history center and did some of Elder Stewart's training and I did a bit of family history work as well for William Nephi Foster. I found a document to attach to him to prove that he is him basically. Sister Kelly also brought us a pizza because they had to cancel on us and she felt bad. It was Momo's pizza which was fantastic! Then we taught Jamie and Dave an awesome lesson. They are so cool and I can't wait to go there again. They both have some way good jokes.

Thursday we had our weekly planning session. We also taught Carly (less active) a quick lesson. Then we taught George who is another less active member. They both want to start coming back to church. Both of my companions fell asleep at George's house and I almost got a picture of Elder Lovell. I was laughing pretty hard about it. Then we had dinner with Brother Gorby our recent convert! It was awesome and I love that guy so much!

Friday it rained like crazy! So we ended up just going to the O'Connor's and Brother Gries’ houses to give them little lessons and see if they could tell us about anyone that they knew would like to hear our message. They are both active members. We also saw a lady named Anne and gave her a Book of Mormon. We had enchiladas at the Clawson's and they were so delicious!

Saturday was way rainy again and wouldn't stop. I do like the rain, but it makes it hard to proselyte. Not too much worked out. We did get to see Sister Malone (less active) and Michelle. Sister Malone is way nice and we will be going back and hopefully be able to get her back to church. We taught Michelle about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith and we will hopefully get to teach her again. Went to Chinese Super Buffet and Elder Lovell ran into a car which was pretty funny.

Sunday was Stake Conference and it was fantastic! They all spoke on God's love and everyone was way good! President Jensen spoke as well and he called up all of the full time missionaries to come to the front which was cool to be a part of and I was just thinking the whole time that it was so crazy that I was up there and that I am a full time missionary. It is so unreal! We also had a lesson with the Hood's, a less active couple and they are way cool and we are going to see them again this next week. Had dinner with the Harris' and had Chicken and Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. It was sooo good!! Then we went and taught Mary Copland that we met last Saturday and that was good! This week was really good!

Monday 2/11/2013 – Sunday 2/17/2013

Monday we did the usual p-day stuff. Played basketball again!! We then ate with the McClellen's which was some great food! Then we headed to Lydia's and had a little lesson, but she ended up stopping us and rescheduling. Prayed and felt we should go to Tracy's, so we did and set up an appointment. I also decided to buy a giant exercise ball for my study desk and it is great!

Tuesday we had District Meeting which, in my opinion, wasn't that great. I think the first one went better. Then most of our appointments fell through, so we decided to go to Alan's, the blind guy, and talked to him and set up a time to see him. Had dinner at the Lahtinen's. After dinner, a frog somehow got into our car and was hoppin around so we were freakin out for some odd reason trying to get the thing out. So I ended up trying to flick it out of the car, which didn't work. Finally it just went under Elder Lovell's seat so we decided that we would just go to our appointment. While I was stopped at a stop light, the frog hit me in the leg for revenge so I turned on the light, found him, opened the door and wacked him out of the car. Finished the night teaching a less active named JJ. It was a fun night.

Wednesday was slow and everything fell through. We did see the Palmer’s and talked to Brother Palmer about a bunch of struggles and tried to help him out. We also were able to set up an appointment to see Paris in about a week. We also had dinner with the Shannon's, which was too long so I felt way bad.

Thursday was a bit of a blurry day. I started out waking up sick. We did talk to a really nice lady that wanted to read the Book of Mormon, so we gave her one. Then we went to the Maynard's home. They are members and they told us a way cool story. It was a story about their ancestor’s conversion. Their ancestor had read the BOM and thought it made sense so he prayed, but didn't get an answer, so he decided it must not be true. As the day went on, he decided to pray again because he couldn't forget about the BOM. The Lord must have answered him because the next day he told his wife that they were going to get baptized that day. He told her two missionaries would be coming by that day. He said that they would come down the corn field, so they went outside to work. When it was close to dinner time, he told his wife to start fixin' supper cause the missionaries would be hungry. So she did and while they were fixin' supper it turns out the missionaries came walking down the corn field. But before they had come walking down the field the missionaries were actually lost. They couldn't find where they were trying to go so they knelt down and prayed and one missionary said they needed to go down a path, but the other didn't think that made sense. So they prayed again and ended up going down the path into the corn field not knowing why. When they got to the bottom of the field, the Maynard's ancestor ran out of the house and yelled saying, “we're ready to be baptized”. The Elder’s thought it was a joke, but nope it wasn't! They ate then baptized them and then were given a ride to the train which left right after they had got on. The end! We also had dinner with the Jones’ newlyweds and then went and taught Craig, but that was about it.

Friday we went out to Woodville, which is the most southern part of our area. It was fun, we saw less-actives and other members. We also taught the Tucker's. For that lesson, we mainly watched the October 2011 Conference. Then we had a trade off with Tally 1. Elder Wright came to our area.

Saturday everything fell through so we didn't do any of the service we planned, but we had a great day. Tried to contact referrals and less-active members. We also tracted and found some potentials. I had a way random bloody nose, but the good news is that it didn't get on my clothes. We randomly taught Lydia because everything fell through and we gave her a BCD of March 30th!! It was so awesome!!!

Sunday we had to wake up at 5:30 for a meeting that no one told us was cancelled. Had dinner with Brother Dougherty and his daughter. Very nice dinner. We didn't do very much the rest of the day because everything fell through and we had to do our studies.

Monday 2/4/2013 – Sunday 2/10/2013

Monday was great! Did the usual P-day stuff. Played some more basketball! Had FHE with the Looney's! Was woke up by our new Elder arriving with the Zone Leaders. He got here at like 11:30ish. His name is Elder Stewart and he is awesome!

Tuesday we had Zone Training. Learned a lot about what we can do to be more effective. Had 2 really good lessons today as well, 1 with Marvin at ShirleyAnne's house and 1 with a less active and her husband. Went shopping so Elder Stewart could get him some food. He is waiting on a visa to go to Brazil. He also has a great testimony!

Wednesday we tracted a lot! Elder Stewart did great! Handed out a ton of Book of Mormon's. We also visited with a Sister Moore from the ward. Very nice lady!

Thursday we had a long day of weekly planning. Tracted and found a new gator! He was a very nice guy so hopefully he is home when we go see him. Then we had dinner with the Blythe's at Momo's. HUGE slices of pizza! Good food and then had a great lesson at the Tucker's.

Friday we tracted a lot again! All three of our appointments fell through, but we did have venison at the Beyer's home. Wow it is always good! They also gave us cake because we had to leave. The guy we met Thursday fell through so we ate the cake that the Beyer's gave us.

Saturday we taught Tabatha and went over the baptismal Q's with her to see how well she remembered everything and talked to her about getting her to church again. She wants to be there! Had dinner with the Russell's. Then we had a cool experience going to a ladies house that a couple days prior told us she wasn't ready for the Book of Mormon. We all felt like we should go to the area and then Elder Stewart had the prompting to give her a Book of Mormon so we went there and gave her one. It was such a cool experience! We also had a great lesson with a less active family the Palmer's, so it was a good day.

Sunday was an amazing day at church! Great lessons and talks today. Then when we were studying, we talked about some spiritual experiences that we had. Then we headed out and went to see Jamy that we helped move the other day. We were able to set up an appointment! Great member missionary work by Brother Beyer! We also saw Sister Wise and set up a time to go see her. Then Sister Matkin brought us dinner because her family has been sick so she didn't want us to get sick.

Monday 1/28/2013 – Sunday 2/3/2013

Monday was P-day again and I really can't believe how fast time has gone by! First we went and I got a haircut because I really needed one. Cleaned and shopped and played some BASKETBALL!! Had dinner with the O'Connor's and went to Ross so I could exchange the belt I got. We also tracted and found a couple potentials.

Tuesday we walked to Oprah's, Lydia's, Betty's, Vanessa's, Elmore's, Phillip's, Ebony's, Tracy's and Jess's. They are all investigators or potentials. We talked to a lot of people and gave away Book of Mormon's as we walked. We had a good dinner with the Kelly's and a little spiritual lesson. Then we taught Sister Kent and the lesson went a lot better than usual. We have a bit of a tougher of a time figuring out her and how to teach her.

Wednesday we had a pretty good day even though we didn't reach the goals we set. We went and saw a former and a bunch of less actives. I think only one of those people was home so we ended up tracting a lot. We met a lot of nice people and one we will go back to tomorrow. Then there was a crazy rain/wind storm that was blowing branches and all sorts of stuff off of trees so we were told to stay in for the night. Had food that the Shannon's gave to us.

Thursday was the last day of the month which is just crazy! Goes by so fast. Today was just a bunch of planning. Dan did stop by for a bit so hopefully we can start teaching him again. We also had a lesson with the Tucker's and decided to teach them the restoration of the gospel. Had Cafe Rio style burritos with the Garrison's and the Blythe's were there. Sister Blythe also brought this delicious cheesecake type stuff. Then Elder Mower came and dropped off some doughnuts that Elder Lovell's uncle dropped off for him.

Friday was rough. I was tired all day and it made it a struggle. All of our appointments also fell through so we were left so we tried to follow the spirit the best we could. Then we had district training which was great! I really love those and they always come when I really need them. President and Sister Jensen are so inspired!

Saturday was fantastic! We went street contacting and while we were doing that I saw that we were on Golden Street. So I told Elder Lovell that there had to be a Golden investigator on that street. So I turned around and saw a house with a truck and said it was the one. Nero opened the door and let us right in!! We taught him and we scheduled an appointment to go back. We also stopped by Frank's, the deaf guy, and gave him the ASL book of Mormon. Then we helped Jamy move and he is a potential now. Stopped by and saw a less active named William for a bit. Cool guy so maybe his wife will be interested in the future. Then ate some food with the Polk's which was awesome! They also gave us a bunch to take home.

Sunday was a great Sunday! Fast and testimony meeting and a ton of the youth were getting up and bearing their testimonies and it was awesome listening to them! Taught Tabatha and found out that she wants to wait for her husband to get baptized in December. So I hope that I can be here for that, but if I need to be somewhere else then I would be fine with that. We also taught ShirleyAnne today to try and see if we can help her out. Had some deaths in the family. Then had a dinner with the Paget's and they are fun and their kids are so energetic.
